Members of Newquay Towan Blystra Lions Club were delighted to badge up two new Lions at their monthly meeting in February.
Wendy Bonfield and Stephen Williams had expressed an interest in getting to know more about Lions Clubs International after last year’s Newquay Beer Festival which Towan Blystra Lions organise and at which Wendy and Stephen assisted. They both attended the club’s monthly business meetings and saw how the club operated and made decisions on their future activities and donations, and they helped Santa and the Lions’ Elves as they toured Newquay in December.
Lion President, Jill Bunt, expressed her pleasure at having Wendy and Stephen as part of the club.
“Wendy and Stephen have already begun to be very active with the club and I know they will prove to be real assets in helping all we do for the community,” said Jill.
