The Pride(s) of Newquay

Members of Newquay Lions and Towan Blystra Lions came together on Saturday 21 October to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of the founding of the Towan Blystra Club. Together with Past District Governor Lesley Chudley, the group proudly posed for a unique photo before enjoying an evening of great food and entertainment at the town’s Marguson Sandy Lodge Hotel.

Towan Blystra President, Lion Heather Stanley said: “In total we had over 100 guests attending and almost forty of them were Lions from the two clubs in our town, which I think is an amazing indication of the extent to which people here are prepared to give their time to help others.”

“It was a brilliant evening and we were also delighted that there were a further eight Lions Clubs from around Cornwall and further afield joining us, together with our good friends from Newquay Rotary who are yet another group who voluntarily support many important causes.”
