Towan Blystra Lions were delighted to take Santa along to the Sandy Lodge Hotel where he handed out presents to young people which had been collected and donated to DISC. Amongst those who turned up to add a special Christmas feel to the event were Oll an Gwella who sang a selection of Cornish & Christmas songs, plus author & journalist & TV documentary maker, Simon Reeve. He was there to interview DISC manager Lion Monique Collins about the work of the charity & to speak to some of the families who had come along to enjoy the hospitality. This will fit into a new series of documentaries being filmed to appear in the New Year. Santa took the chance of a “selfie” with Simon but he devlined the chance to sit on Santa’s knee & tell him what he would like for Christmas.
