Newquay Towan Blystra Lions President Jill Bunt was accompanied by fellow Lions husband Phil, and Colin Wellington at Indian Queens School Primary School to be shown the three benches their club agreed to fund after they were approached earlier in the year to support some of the requirements of the new Outdoor Learning Project.
The Outdoor Learning project has been developed by the school with the Eden Project Education Team and will provide a rich, challenging, accessible and safe outdoor environment for all children, creating opportunities for outdoor learning and nature-based play across the year groups.The relationship between child health, wellbeing and education demonstrates that healthier and happier children achieve higher educational attainment.
It is an engaging curriculum that facilitates children in achieving their academic potential has strong implications for educational outcomes, especially amid a global pandemic by which many children have been disproportionately affected.
