A very successful day today at Trenance Cottages!
Vice President Lion Jon Collins thanked Colin, Jo, Stephen and Carl for a sterling days’ work.
Initially, Jo, Colin, Stephen and I set up the stall at 1000hrs with Carl arriving for the afternoon shift at 1300hrs without Jane unfortunately as she was assisting their neighbour who had sadly fallen earlier in the morning.
Stephen was dressed (all day on a warm summers day, I hasten to add!!) in his own Lions costume which attracted plenty to our stall, he also brought along some consolation gifts for the little ones who didn’t win the bigger prize of a fluffy Lion. Very well done Stephen!
I arrived back for the last 45 minutes or so to assist and help collapse the stall and return it to lock up. Overall, we had 11 Tombola winners!
The takings for the day were split as follows;
Tombola – £138.80
NTBL Collection Buckets – £25.51
Total = £164.31 to go to local charities
