Santa’s on his Tour again soon
With the help of his elves from Towan Blystra Lions Club, Santa will once again be touring the streets of Newquay and helping out in other ways by turning on festive lights and entertaining young people in a specially constructed grotto.
Santa will be towed in his sleigh and, as usual, will be delighted to stop, chat and have photos taken as he tours. This year, some of the routes have been adjusted to reflect the popularity of Santa’s attendance across a wide area but, if he’s not actually coming down your street this year, you will be able to track his progress every day on the online Santa Tracker, so finding him won’t be an issue.
This year’s tour will start with the turning on of the Christmas lights at St Newlyn East on Thursday 7 December and Santa will then be in the following locations:
Mon 11 Dec: Tretherras (Cavendish Cres to Pydar Close) from 6pm
Tues 12 Dec: Treloggan area from 6pm
Wed 13 Dec: St Columb Minor from 6pm
Thur 14 Dec: Newquay Town and Tregunnel from 6pm
Fri 15 Dec: Nansleddan (lights switch on and tour) from 5pm
Sat 16 Dec: Outside Newquay Football Club from 4 – 4.25pm (free) followed by Newquay AFC grotto with present (search ‘Newquay Football Club Santa tickets’ to book a paid visit)
Sun 17 Dec: Outside Morrisons Supermarket entrance
Mon 18 Dec: DISC (Sandy Lodge) 12-4; Quintrell Downs from 6pm.
Tues 19 Dec: The Goldings from 6pm
As always, Santa’s elves will be equipped with their special long donation tubes to drop a few coins in to, with the collection going to help local good causes.
More information about the routes and how to access the Santa Tracker will be available soon at www.newquaytowanblystralions.org.uk and listen out for the daily updates on Radio Newquay’s Breakfast Show.
