Helping Those in Need as Winter Approaches
Pot Noodle Ministries put out a shout-out to Newquay Towan Blystra Lions for some much-needed equipment to help vulnerable people in Newquay.
Our Grant Committee took the request to the Club, and permission was given to purchase a range of essential items. These included sleeping bags, thermal mats, pop-up tents and woolly hats.
All the equipment was purchased locally, helping to support our local businesses at the same time.
Lions Rhys and Colin were pleased to present the items to Paul Taylor, Co-ordinator of Pot Noodle Ministries.
Paul said that the equipment would be very much appreciated and well received, particularly with the colder weather approaching.
Another example of your local Lions working together with community organisations to make a difference to those who need a helping hand.
