Members of Newquay Towan Blystra Lions called at Chy Lowen Alpacas Tregaswith (CHAT) to provide an early Christmas present to the project that provides Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) which is a form of therapy, to help young people who have special needs, mental health issues or are youth offenders.
Lion Colin said: “We were pleased to support Mary and Mike who run this facility on the outskirts of St Columb again this Christmas. They had told us of some of the equipment they needed to buy with this amount and the club agreed to help, as we did a year ago with another grant.

Towan Blystra Lions review applications for grants from local not-for-profit causes every three months as part of their Quarterly Grant Scheme and will be considering the next set of requests at their meeting in February.

“We are always keen to hear from any groups who may have something they need help in funding and the details of how to apply are on our website”, said Lion Lesley.
