The ever popular Community Christmas Lunch, held at the Marguson Sandy Lodge Hotel in Newquay, is set to return for another year on Friday, December 8, and the tickets are likely to get snapped up quickly. So, if you are a regular attendee, or someone who thinks this is an event you or someone you know would enjoy, don’t hang around!
Newquay Towan Blystra Lions Club organise the event which is supported and subsidised by the hotel itself and numerous others who donate time and provisions to make it a great way to approach the festive season. It means that a relatively small charge of £8 per person gets everyone a glass of sherry or soft drink on arrival, a three-course turkey meal including mince pies and cream, a glass of wine with the grub, free prize Bingo and entertainment from Newquay’s favourite songbird, Paula Marcelis. The event will also include a tombola and the results of the Grand Christmas Draw, tickets to which are being sold across the town and further afield now with dozens of great prizes donated by local businesses and individuals. One of the gifts which is sure to be much appreciated by a lucky ticket holder is a special ‘Dip and Dine’ experience donated by the iconic Headland Hotel.
Entry for the lunch, together with Grand Christmas Draw tickets can be bought from Wednesday, November 25 at the Tourist Information Centre, Marcus Hill, Newquay (cash only) or pop online to see the list of prizes and reserve lunch tickets HERE. You can also ring 0345 833 4981 for more information.
