Dozens of keen quiz-fanatics gathered at Newquay Golf Club for the first-ever “Brains of Newquay” quiz, organised by Newquay Towan Blystra Lions.
The event raised £143 for Cornwall Air Ambulance, and saw taxing questions about general knowledge, science and nature, a picture round as well as a special round about Cornwall.
The evening also included a raffle, and a pasty supper.
The eventual winners were the “Quizzicle” team, who were presented with the brand new perpetual “Brains of Newquay” salver.
