Trenance Gardens was lit up last night for the Lantern Parade, where local schoolchildren showcased their enormous talents by creating fantastic lanterns. Once again, members of Newquay Lions and Towan Blystra Lions worked together to marshal the route from the Heron Café car park, around the boating lake, and finishing at Trenance Cottages, where everyone was greeted with music from a local band.
Unfortunately, the necessary road closures caused by ongoing roadworks led to some frustration for local traffic. Thank you to everyone who was caught up in the delays for your patience.
Towan Blystra Lions were led by President Jon Collins, along with Lions Sarah, Mark, Tony, Dave, Colin, Carol, B, Elke, Daisy, and Donna.
