Last night, Newquay Towan Blystra Lions Club welcomed back one of its long-serving members, Kevin Towill, who joined a club meeting via Zoom from Derriford Hospital. Kevin, a Cornwall and Newquay Councillor, has spent over six months in the hospital’s neurological rehabilitation unit following the successful removal of a brain tumour earlier this year.
This marked Kevin’s first Lions Club meeting in many months, and members were delighted to see him. They gave him a warm round of applause, expressing their admiration for his resilience and their hope to see him back home soon.
Kevin’s passion for serving the community as both a councillor and a Lion remains unwavering. Club members look forward to his full recovery and to having him back contributing to the vital work of the Lions Club and his council duties.
