Newquay Towan Blystra Lions Visit Indian Queens Primary School’s New Library System

Members of the Newquay Towan Blystra Lions recently visited Indian Queens Primary School to see the new library system they helped fund in action.

The innovative system allows pupils to scan the book of their choice and then scan their library card, linking the book to their account. When the book is returned, it is scanned again, giving the library precise control over its inventory.

Beyond just tracking books, the system also recommends similar titles to students and can be accessed from home, encouraging reading beyond the classroom.

Lions Phil and Colin spoke with the student librarians about their thoughts on the new system, and their enthusiastic response was a resounding cheer!
