Members and friends of Newquay Towan Blystra Lions were up before the larks on Sunday morning, attending a 7.00am briefing to help marshal the Newquay Roadrunners 10K run from Newquay Sports Centre to Crantock and back.
Around 800 runners took part and, due to the complexity of the course, more than 80 marshals were required. The weather was kinder than of late, with only light drizzle rather than gale-force winds or a deluge of rain.
Marshals helping on the day included Lions Phil and Jill, Lion Danny, Lion Colin, and Lions friend Al.
