Lions Help Santa Bring Christmas Magic Back to Newquay
Newquay’s Lions Clubs will be making sure Santa can visit families across the town this December before his World Tour that starts on the evening of 24 December !! Thanks to the support of Newquay Lions Club, Father Christmas will make his first appearance in a specially prepared grotto near the Nansledan Community Centre from 2–4pm on Saturday 6 December, before hopping into his sleigh to officially switch on the Christmas lights at the Nansledan Community Green.
After that, Towan Blystra Lions will take over Santa-care duties, guiding him safely through the streets of Newquay in his sleigh as he visits communities in the run-up to Christmas. Families are encouraged to step outside, give Santa a wave, snap a photo, and—if they wish—drop a few coins or tap a card into his collection bucket, helping the Lions support good causes throughout the local area.
Don’t forget his elves are delighted to receive any letters for Santa on his trip and, if you want to know exactly where he is at any point, just visit www.newquaysanta.com for a live update on the evenings concerned and to view his planned routes.
Santa’s schedule for his Newquay tour is as follows:
- Tue 9 Dec – Meadowside and Sweet Briar, Treloggan
- Wed 10 Dec – St Columb Minor
