Ten Lions from two Newquay clubs (Towan Blystra and Newquay Lions) met up on Sunday at Goonhavern Village Hall for an excellent full day’s training by Frances Carter of Staying Alive Cornwall, at the end of which they were all certified as having passed the Level Three First Aid at Work qualification. The training, that included practical instruction on CPR and other life-saving procedures, will be a great assistance to both clubs as they add to the pool of volunteers able to help at the numerous community events their clubs put on or support during the year.
