Lions donated VANtastic new resource

The trustees of DISC Newquay have donated a van they used for collections and deliveries of food and other resources to Newquay Towan Blystra Lions Club.
When DISC, the award-winning charity that supported so many in need closed their doors in January, their trustees decided that the Lions could make good use of the vehicle in serving the community and helping other groups who support others.
Lion President Heather Stanley formally received the van from Peter Butterly, Chairman of the Trustees of DISC at Newquay Harbour after the van had been rebranded with the Lions logos. Heather said: “We were delighted to accept this offer of the van and we have already been using it to help with some of the requirements of Newquay Foodbank. If there are other community groups that feel we can be of any help using the van, our Lions will be happy to hear from them.”
Any charity or community group who would like to know more about how the Lions could help them can get in contact through the website www.newquaytowanblystralions.org.uk or by ringing 0345 833 4981.
