Newquay Towan Blystra Lions were delighted to be able to support one of the areas favourite children’s authors, Ellie Jackson, who visited Newquay Primary Academy recently and gave an entertaining talk based on one of her books. The children then asked her some really quite testing questions and were all rewarded by each being presented with a personally-signed book from Ellie which had been funded by the Lions. Lion President Heather Stanley and Secretary Lion Jill Bunt were both delighted to be invited along to see the presentation and pose for a photo with Ellie and some of the children from the two classes involved.
