Once again, huge thanks to Lions Danny for organising and running this year’s Giant Easter Egg draw. He arranged for pubs and eateries to sell raffle tickets on our behalf, with 50% of the proceeds going to the vendor’s chosen charity and 50% retained by Towan Blystra Lions to distribute to local causes after the cost of the eggs have been taken out. Over £800 was raised for good causes.
Amongst the beneficiaries are Newquay Food Bank, RNLI, Air Ambulance and Mermaid Centre. Our heartfelt thanks to the Heron Tennis, Treninnick Tavern, Pheasant Inn, The Plume of Feathers Mitchell, Two Clomes, The Falcon Inn, Travellers Rest, The Merrymoor, The Farmers Arms, and the Griffin Inn.
