Friday saw the annual Community Christmas Lunch hosted by the Newquay Towan Blystra Lions take place at the Sandy Lodge Hotel. Around 123 people enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner followed by two games of Bingo, a raffle and entertainment provided by Tom “In Dreams” Birchall. Santa paid a visit during lunch and met with a few of the diners. A spokesperson for the Lions said that the response from the community in support of the event had been even greater than last year and they would like to say a very big thank you to all the following for their help:
